RIDE THE WAVE PRO SURF COMPETITION
The Ride the Wave Festival Pro Surf Competition presented by Coastline Credit Union welcomes all entries.
Surfers from across the state and interstate will compete for a coveted placing in the annual RTW Surf Pro 2024. We thank Port Macquarie Hastings Council for supporting this regional event.
Event Date: Thursday 4th – Saturday 6th April 2024
Entries Open: Thursday 21st December 2023
Entries Close: Friday 23rd March 2024
Entry Fee: $90 + GST
Prizes/Prize Money:
1st-4th Place will receive a prize pack
Prize money for the Open Men’s and Women’s Winners and Runner Up.
Winner = $1000
Runner Up = $500
Ride The Wave High School Surf Pro
Event Date: Tuesday 2nd April – Wednesday 3rd April 2024
Entries Open: February 1st 2024
Entries Close: Friday 15th March 2024
Entry Fee: $50 + GST per team
Rules:
– All competitors must attend an Australian High School.
– Team to consist of a maximum of 5 surfers
– Team to select only three competitors to surf each round.
– Each competitor allowed maximum three waves with highest individual wave score counted
– Only one member per team in surf at a time
– After the start of each heat each team member must tag each other in official area before entering surf
– Heat Time – 20 mins (depending on conditions heat times can change at direction of contest director)
– If a team completes their heat prior to the final siren, they will be awarded bonus points.
under 15 mins – 6 bonus points
under 16 mins – 5 bonus points
under 17 mins – 4 bonus points
under 18 mins – 3 bonus points
under 19 mins – 2 bonus points
The Head Judges decision is final
Rules:
Age divisions – surfers must be Under the age division as of the 31/12/24
Seeding for each division will be determined by Surfing NSW.
Refunds will not be offered to competitors within 2 weeks of the competition. Competitors will lose their spot once the refund is issued. If you wish to request a refund you must do so by 23 March.
If you decide to re-enter the competition you will be placed at the end of the waitlist if the entries are full.
