Ride The Wave Festival

Now established as an annual event on Birpai Country in Port Macquarie Ride the Wave Festival held across five jam packed days raises funds to support local charity Make a Difference PMQ in advocating for the disadvantaged and marginalised members of the community.

In this way, all money raised goes back to the local community.

The hugely popular Ride the Wave festival will deliver a day of music, culture, and community at the Ride The Sound Wave event which sold-out in 2023, as well as three days of surf with a Ride the Wave Junior Pro Surf competition that is run in conjunction with Surfing NSW and sells out nearly as soon as entries are opened, and a Ride The Wave skate competition – all staged at the beautiful Town Beach site.

For the first time the Ride The Sound Wave event will include a new children’s concert Ride The Sound Wave KidsPre-show entertainment for the mini-festival goers and a range of fun kids’ activities including face painting and a jumping castle.

Set on one of the most picturesque festival locations on the East Coast, tickets to the all-ages fundraising Ride The Sound Wave main event as well as Ride The Sound Wave Kids are on-sale soon.

Bigger, better, be there!

The Ride the Wave Festival established in 2021 has become an annual fundraising event for Make A Difference PMQ (M.A.D) that showcases our region to the wider community whilst advocating for the disadvantaged and marginalised

Hosted at Town Beach Port Macquarie the inaugural festival was successful in raising funds to complete the M.A.D food van and contributed towards an accompanying food trailer. M.A.D is a local not for profit charitable organisation. We are excited to bring the Ride the Wave Festival to Port Macquarie once again.
In 2024 the festival will include the RTW Surf and Skate competitions. In addition, Ride the Sound Wave Music Festival will also take place. With headliner Xavier Rudd we are expecting over 5000 attendees across the weekend event. The festival includes market stalls, food vendors and family activities in the skate park precinct.
