RIDE THE WAVE FESTIVAL
The Ride the Wave Festival is the annual fundraising event for M.A.D that showcases our region to the wider community whilst advocating for the disadvantaged and marginalised. In this way, all money raised goes back to the local community.
The festival features an open division surf competition, a skateboarding and scooter competition, market stalls, food vendors, family fun zone (free entry) and an ALL AGES live music festival
The inaugural Ride the Wave Festival set out in June 2021 to establish itself as a premier annual festival at Town Beach Port Macquarie. With approximately 2000 attending the festival across three days, the inaugural festival was successful in raising funds to complete the Make a Difference PMQ food van and contributed towards an accompanying food trailer.

Bigger, better, be there!
In 2022 the festival will include competitions for short and long board surfing, scooter and skateboarding. In addition, a Battle of the Bands style competition ‘Live Set’ for up and coming solo acoustic artists will also take place.
This will culminate in the Ride the Sound Wave music festival taking place across Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June at Town Beach Park, Alban Place. A special addition to this festival is the over 18s “Barrel Room” beer garden provided within the Ride the Sound Wave precinct.
Whilst the music festival is a ticketed event, free access to market stalls, food vendors and family activities will be made available to the general public in and around the skate park and Breakwall HQ cafe across the weekend.
