LAUNCH EVENT
The official launch of the 2022 Ride the Wave Festival will be held in the Ballroom at Sails Rydges, this event is the official kick-off for the Ride The Wave Festival, leading into a big weekend of surf and skate competitions, as well as Ride The Soundwave music festival.
For the full Ride The Wave experience, you need to be a part of this stellar night.
General admission tickets (no food or drinks included) are $30 per person, or if you like to be a bit fancy our VIP tickets are $60 per person and include preferred seating, Meet & Greet with our speaker, canapes and a welcome drink.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
As a world class big wave surfer, Red Bull Athlete and Surf Contest Director Mark Mathews has become obsessed with the relationship between personal growth, high performance and fulfilment.
Winner of an unprecedented 3 back to back Oakley Big Wave Awards, Mark has cemented himself as one of the best big wave surfers in the world.
We’re extremely stoked to have Mark grace the stage as a keynote speaker at the official launch of the Ride the Wave festival to tell his compelling story, which offers game changing tips to adapt to stress, harness resilience and perform when it counts.
He has deconstructed, fine-tuned, and personalised emotional resilience techniques to successfully strengthen long term performance.
Workshop
We are super pumped to have pro surfer Cooper Chapman present his mental health skill building workshop at our launch. Developed by Cooper for young Australians after realising that mental health support during his teenage years was difficult to find, he has had great feedback around this interactive and practical workshop.
Live Music
Jackson James is well known around town as one of our top local acoustic acts. If you haven't been lucky enough to hear him perform yet then you're missing out! A party isn't a party without great tunes, and we can guarantee you that Jackson will bring them to our launch event.
